Joel & Sofia Gonzalez are educators for Caris Prevention Services in Chicago, Illinois. For the past ten years, Joel has been working with teenagers from all backgrounds and cultures, creatively blending his gifts in music with the issues that are prevalent among our generation and society.
His wife, Sofia, has worked in classroom settings and was the program director for an inner-city youth program. Joel earned his Bachelor’s in history with a minor in music from Northeastern Illinois University and Sofia earned her Bachelor’s in English literature with a minor in Speech/Theatre/Communications from Concordia University. Sofia published her first poetry collection book entitled Movements and enjoys leading a choir, writing, making jewelry and spending time with Joel and their son, Silas. Joel enjoys the outdoors, reading, writing, walks with his labs, creating music, and spending time with his wife Sofia and his son Silas.
Joel & Sofia combine their creativity, family history, and examples in their marriage to share with teens the important of abstinence and the benefits of marriage.
